Domaine de Sathenay is located near Gevrey-Chambertin in Burgundy. The estate has been family owned for more than 150 years and covers several hundred hectares.
“From Burgundy, but made according to Champagne traditional methods, Sathenay is elegant, yet complex, with citrus & honey notes & a touch of toasty yeast on the finish, fabulous alternative to champagne.” – Barry Joseph
“Impressive, is Sathenay Cremant de Bourgogne Brut NV, a coppery-tinged, biscuity, smoothly flavoursome bubbly with a real touch of class.” – Ralph Kyte-Powell, The Age.
“…a very good French sparking wine. Stone fruit, shortbread and yeasty characters mark a smooth wine of good depth and richness. A trace of sweetness fills out the palate and it finishes with a sustained tingle in the mouth.” – Ralph Kyte-Powell
