Sheep Dip Islay
Sheep Dip takes its eccentric name from the days when farmers would hide their home brew in barrels labeled Sheep Dip to escape the unwanted attentions of the excise men. The brand prospered during the 1980s and 1990s in the USA and was popular with bankers and stockbrokers where it retains a niche following. To accentuate the brand’s malt whisky origins, Sheep Dip has been upgraded by Richard Paterson, Scotland’s only third generation whisky master blender. The whiskies are aged between eight and twelve years in quality “first fill wood,” each adding unique characteristics to produce an exceptional product. Single Malts include: Aged Speyside Glenlivet, Tormore, Glenfarclas Tamnavulin-Glenlivet and Dalmore over aged.
